A full-stack marketplace for verified UW-Whitewater students to list, discover, save, and discuss items.

Problem

Campus communities need a focused trading space with trustworthy accounts and workflows designed for local student transactions.

Outcome

The deployed application supports the marketplace lifecycle from verified account access through listing discovery and buyer-seller communication.

Campus Marketplace architecture

A separated web, API, and data stack supports trusted student accounts and the full marketplace lifecycle.

1. React storefront: Discovery, listings, favorites, messaging, and moderation UI
2. Express REST API: Validation, authorization, sessions, and business workflows
3. PostgreSQL: Users, listings, conversations, favorites, and audit state
4. Cloudinary + SendGrid: Listing media and verified-email delivery
